Wacom Bamboo tablets offers multitouch and pen input

Bamboo Pen & Touch combines the benefits of Multi-Touch with the comfort and precision of Wacom's ergonomically-designed pen. The result: a powerful new way to work with your computer.

With Multi-Touch, you use simple hand gestures and finger taps on the tablet's surface. And because the active area is larger than traditional mobile devices and laptop trackpads, it's comfortable and natural to use. You can move around your desktop, scroll through documents, navigate the web, zoom in and out of photos, and rotate images.

If you need precision, you can use the pressure-sensitive pen as well.  The flexibility to use either touchscreen or tablet makes it appealing.

Price starts at $69 and goes up depending on features and functionality.

The Bamboo Fun is $199. For those who do character drawing/graphic design/creative and need something portable this may be a good alternative versus going with the full-blown Cintiq or Intuos line.

It's affordable enough that I may give it a try. I do alot of mobile multimedia using laptops and deal with tight deadlines, so this may save me from having to run back to the office to get on my full blown touchscreen tablet.  It's 10 years old, but still does the job.  Replacing it with a new Wacom would be pricey...there are other gadgets I need to acquire. :)
